England's most-capped player visits the Harpur Centre
A football legend came to Bedford at the weekend to kick summertime boredom into touch.

Having played more than 1,000 professional games, 125 of which were for
England, superstar goalkeeper Peter Shilton was in town for a special penalty shootout challenge.

Youngsters were keen to get involved in the action outside the Harpur Centre on Saturday, having been starved of an England performance in Euro 2008.

However, many of the older footballing fans were more interested in getting the autograph of the 58-year-old England shotstopper.
