The Megabeasts Roadshow brings nature to the library
Snakes, spiders and creepy-crawlies took over Putnoe Library this week, as the Megabeasts Roadshow rolled into town.

Brave youngsters had the chance to get up close with the creatures and learn about the insects and reptiles on Tuesday.

Among the guests of honour were Sid the Madagascan hissing cockroach. Pepsi the rat, a farm of milipedes and a Chilean red-kneed tarantula.

The sell-out children's event, aimed at five to 12-year-olds, also helped to raise money for Keech Cottage Children's Hospice.
